    Safari Storm Inferno Slot

The team at Konami have been busy with their land-based slots in recent months. The acclaimed video game manufacturer now has a firm foothold in the casino slot machines market, and the Safari Storm Inferno slot we’re about to review looks like it’s strengthening its position further.

Safari Storm Inferno follows hot on the heels of established games like Safari Stacks. It comes to casinos as part of the Concerto SeleXion range, and it features more bonus rounds than most players can handle. But does the free Safari Storm Inferno slot machine have the same free spins-heavy action of Safari Stacks? Let's hop on board our safari truck and find out.

Konami Goes Back to the Wild With a Storm

If you’re a video slot enthusiast, you’ll need no introduction to Konami – a major casino games supplier that began life producing top video arcade machines.

In recent years, the Japanese firm has branched out into video slots for offline and online casinos. In most cases, Konami's expertise in arcade gameplay has carried over to its online slots output. And it’s making a real push in the land-based sector too, with a big range of fresh new titles out on the market.

If you have played Konami video slots in your local casino, you will know that they often come with big stacked symbols and lots of wilds. The Safari Stacks slot being reviewed here gives you the chance to win up to 50 free games via a unique dual-screen setup. There are also 'Action Stacked Symbols' that can appear on two or three reels. These will upgrade with 2x or 3x multipliers on the player's win.

Safari Storm Inferno builds on some of the themes of Safari Stacks, but it adds in a dash of 4K graphics. It was previewed at the large G2E trade show in 2018 alongside several other new Konami releases. The game is set in a wide African Savannah and features a 3x5 reel setup. There are 40 paylines in total, which brings Safari Storm Inferno in line with other recent Konami releases.

Land the Mighty Cheetahs for Super Wins

Much of the base gameplay in Safari Storm Inferno comes via the low-level royal symbols. If you play for real money, you can expect payouts in the range of 5-50 coins for the lower symbols. Elsewhere, we find a desert fox, a hunter-explorer, and the mighty cheetah himself.

It looks as though the cheetah acts as the slot’s wild symbol. The wild will substitute for all regular symbols in the game except the scatters. It's also possible to earn massive multipliers of up to 120x on your wins.

Hit Bonus Icons on Reels 2, 3 and 4

Our review team found something rather special on the central reels of the Safari Storm Inferno video slot. Here it is possible to hit a single giant symbol that fills the nine positions on reels 2, 3, and 4. This can lead to some pretty impressive wins if you hit the right symbols on reels 1 and 5.

You can also trigger free spins by landing three or more scatter symbols in any position. Multipliers come into play during the free spins rounds. If you're lucky enough to activate the bonus feature in this volatile video slot, it can mean some pretty big bonus game wins.

Like many of the recent Konami slots, Safari Storm Inferno features a progressive linked jackpot that sees you in with a chance of winning one of several big prizes. The feature can be triggered at random during the base game.

Hunt the Big Game in Jackpot Safari

If you like African-themed slots but want to keep things simple, try Konami's Diamond Safari slot. It features a unique set of reels that swivels to display both the wheel and video screen bonuses. Players can also take advantage of a second chance respin, which can happen randomly at the end of the base game.

Diamond Safari has multiple feature rounds including a classic trail-style bonus. But it's Konami's three progressive jackpots that set the slot apart. You can trigger a Grand Cash, Super Grand Cash, or Hyper Grand Cash progressive during play. The game is high in volatility, however, and it isn't for the faint-hearted.

Keeping things online, Fortune Stacks is a fun Asian-themed slot from Konami which you could also try. It has 30 fixed paylines across its five reels, but the action is fairly low-variance. The game features Action Stacked Symbols. At random, a number of adjacent reel positions can be randomly replaced with one of the symbols in the pay table. Because every replacement symbol is the same, it can lead to some nice prizes if you land the right icon.

Three or more symbols here will trigger a free spins feature. You will win 5, 15, or 30 free spins, depending on how many scatters you trigger. Additional free games can be won by landing more scatters, while randomly selected multipliers will appear on the reels during the bonus round. You can hit 2x, 3x, or 5x multipliers on your win lines, and these multipliers can also accumulate to trigger even bigger wins.

The Action Stacked Symbols feature can also be found in Konami's animal-themed Golden Wolves slot. Another 30-payline game, Golden Wolves also has a range of symbols that can randomly replace every other symbol on the reels. Random golden wolf wilds will also appear on the reels for added bonus wins. As in Fortune Stacks and Konami's better land-based machines, here you can also trigger a free spins feature with 10, 12, or 20 free games up for grabs.

Go on the Hunt for Big Rewards

Konami has built up a great range of online slots in a short space of time. In fact, you will find some of its top titles in our list of the best online slots available today. But Konami is also pushing ahead with some great land-based games which contain better graphics, bigger bonuses, and massive jackpots.

If you like playing animal-themed slot machines at your local casino, the new Safari Storm Inferno slot we’ve just reviewed might be worth checking out. There is plenty of gambling action across five reels, and you simply won’t be able to turn down the promise of a 120x multiplier win.

Hunt out this beast of a video slot release at your local land-based casino. Even without a progressive jackpot, Safari Storm Inferno might be worth checking out.
